I want to dedicate this Hollywood Vampires live report to my mom, passed away the 9th May, she’d loved to see
the show of this incredible band, and if I love rock, it’s her merit.
Who would have thought that one day I’d have seen my favorite artist on stage with my favorite actor!
On the contrary, it happened in Lucca at the Summer Festival on July 6, 2018. Date to be counted among my personal memories, along with every single concert of Alice Cooper I attended.
Who know me well, knows my great love for Alice Cooper, one of the most innovative artists, criticized. a highly professional and natural talent.
Personally I find that this album has a special charm that manages to combine the modern sounds, fresher, with echoes of the past, as the great
“Tearing Us Apart”, a melodic and sweet piece, or the introspective “Live Before We Die”.
Absolutely brilliant the ten track “How Does It Feel”, just another great highlight.
“More Humanity Please” is definitively one of the best albums of this 2018, pure and genuine adrenaline in a healthy rock, it’s just thanks to musicians as Barros that rock music still alive and kicking!
Technicalities, passion and crude rock for this album that manages to like me from the first listen, “From Hell to Heaven Ice” is
the right piece to start this record, a piece that makes it clear. since the beginning both the quality and the mood that accompanies the whole work.
“Burn at the Sunrise” has good identity in its sound, Trevor could have various influences but his work is full of his personality. Hard and heavy rough voice. With this piece, Trevor gives a very strong impact.
The follower “Red Beer” it's not far behind and so...
This album manages to enclose dark sounds, dark settings and lighter, radiant sounds.
"Behind The Door" is the door that literally opens the band to us, a passage into this work full of atmospheres, A very soft voice that of Annalisa that carries us for the duration of the song, almost rocking out, as if she singing a dirge. Interesting keyboards in a such a deep music.
In “Spirit Of The Air” the sound approaches a symphonic style, firmly reasserting that the song maintains a prog and alternative soul...
The bands roots are clearly rock and hard-rock of the 80s and 90s. Bands like Queensryche, King`s X, Dokken or Van Halen always have been
a great influence to the sound of the band.
The current year, 2018, sees the band with the brand new album “Changing Time”, published via the Italian label Volcano Records.
The actual lineup sees Christian Freimoser as vocalist, Wolfgang Forstner on guitar, Thomas Rackl on bass, and Manuel Wimmer on drums. Let's get to know them together ...
Born in 2013 Hangarvain released their first album “Best Ride Horse” in 2014 followed by the big success of “Freaks” in 2016 and within few
years the band reached a wide fanbase all around Europe being known as one of the most recognizable and untiring live and touring band of this generation.
After a full year of silence, Hangarvain is back in 2018 with a new album entitled “Roots and Returns”, available from May 25th via Volcano Records, and supported by a European Tour.
To talk about “Roots and Returns” and more, Alessandro Liccardo, the band guitarist, president of the Italian label Volcano Records, and of Modern Guitar Program.
WaterCrisis is an Italian stoner rock band, from the province of Naples, the first album entitled ''Sleeping Sickness'', was released in 27th April 2018, evolving the ideas to propos into the previous EP, a more resolute and aggressive sound which better refer to the stoner/metal , musical genre chosen by the band, proposing a more mature product, confirming their contract with Volcano Records & Promotion Label. The particular sound of these musicians, intrigued me enough to want to interview them to get to know them better.
Dancing Scrap, led by vocalist/composer Ronnie Abeille, is a really interesting and multifaceted band. Their second album "This is sexy sonic alternative iron punk" dated 2017, published by Agoge Records and recently reviewed on Rockers And Other Animals, really got my attention. So let's talk about their music ...
