From Hamilton, Canada, hard rock band The Castor Troys t(he name is taken from a character in the Jon Woo’ “Face/Off”), formed in 2013, they released their debut full-length album “Come Hell or High Water” in May of 2015 and their 6 track EP “Legends Never Die” will be due out November 9, 2018. Working with producer Andre Kaden Black and engineer Tal Vaisman (Ascot Royals) has refined the band’s sound and enabled them to capture the fierce energy of their live performance onto record.
Through lyrics that tell tales of war heroes, bank robbers and clandestine lovers, this intrepid four-piece peddles true stories and truer fiction.
“Legends Never Die” is a rich EP in which the band express itself through hard rock, southern rock and punk music.
Blackout Love is the first song we can listen and its powerfully punk mixed with a healthy rock. Good guitars and rhythm with a deep and rough voice.
The punk influence continues in the catchy “We Are One” in which the chorus is strong with good freedom feeling, excellent song!
“ Watch The City Burn”, the third track, is a sample of how stronger are The Castor Troys, with a good voice interpretation.
Fast and furious is the brilliant “Legends Never Die”, obsessive rhythm that marks a potency song made passion for hard rock and punk resonances.
Sound that we can find in “Wreck Of The Bastard” as well, more closest to heavy texture with speed guitar and approach.
Rock and roll for the good “Running Down A Dream”, a little bit more easy and with 80’s echos.
Such a brilliant album for this band, sure it will like to all punkers who love heavy and rock contaminations.
