Formed in Rome thanks to Luca Aldisio, Stairs Of Life is a “moods” band, and its shows all its intent with the first EP “The Man In A Glass”, a fragile title itself, containing four deep
Sensations, feelings and deep veins are the first adjectives for this work, a very fascinating EP that’s filled of melancholy. The opening “Mask” talks about how we hide our sentiments showing
dissimilar our everyday feelings. Alcohol dependence is the theme for the follower “The Man in a Glass”, while feelings about a missing love is contained in the beautiful “You Are Gone”.
“La Madonna di Nettuno”, the famous statue in Nettuno, is the focus of the amazing track “Our Lady of Grace” that’s closing the EP. The legend tales, whilst on the way to Naples from the harbor
of Ispwhich, a massive thunderstorm forced the ship transporting the statue to dock in Nettuno – where Our Lady Grace remains to this day.
Post rock attitudes, vaguely distortion in the its arrangements, “The Man In A Glass” it contains a very touching voice and melancholy tones and as so deep are the feelings and brilliant the
music, this EP is one of more interesting work I’ve heard this year.
