17Crash, the Italian glam sleaze band is back with the new album “Hit The Prey”, such a pity this album has very little as glam sleaze genre. After the good debut album, "Reading Your Dirty Minds”, released in 2015 via Demon Doll Records, 17Crash, present their new work more nearly to AOR than the genre they’ve always played.
“Hit The Prey” contains one the “Approaching” and ten brand new tracks, the album was mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni of DGM at Domination Studio and features keyboard player Alessio Lucatti (Vision Divine) as a guest.
80's echoes in this album as well as the previous, but with a huge change of style, it's a good combination of old school hard rock and Alessio Lucatti (Vision Divine) keyboards.
“Lies” is a good easy listening rock song, brilliant rhythms, the follower “Can't Touch” starts as a ballad but then the piece takes another direction with the Guns ‘N’ Roses’ ’”You Could Be Mine”’ refrain, and a good dose of eighties hard rock. A piece basically enjoyable.
Harmonious and easy listening is the follower “Don't You Break My Life”, another pleasant piece.
Harder “Out Of It” in which guitar is quiet good as well as the catchy refrain, “Rum All Night” has a brilliant piano intro, after that the piece takes a fold almost power rock metal, remaining essentially a very catchy hard piece that remains well impressed in mind.
“Scream My Name” has another heavy sound, a piece that increasingly detached from the band’ genre.
Time for the ballad “In The Eyes Of A Woman”, good melodies and pathos for a classic slow song.
Back to rock with the follower “Brighter Day”, more progressive the song “Dead City” until to reach the piece that close this album, “Hit The Prey”, in which the band expresses itself in this new music style.
17 Crash with this new album made a huge music change, the musicians are good as good is the quality of the work.
I’ve listened more and more the new album and I’m just astonished about this change, perhaps the 17 Crash have matured musically.
“Hit The Prey” will make the joy of every hard rock/AOR lovers.
