“This song is about how our society is eating us alive. We’re taken apart piece by piece, by the world we live in. We are exploited, more is demanded from us every day. Less of our life truly belongs to us. We can’t keep up, we’re always behind rushing to the next thing, and so we rage, and we rebel. We reject this Cannibal Society.”
ODDKO is the brainchild of multi-talented Giovanni Bucci, who composed the music for Cannibal Society, and the previously
released Digital Gods EP.
ODDKO is a manifestation of the animal within, driven by instinct and the longing to break free of society’s cage. Each track is the fruit of Bucci’s eclectic tastes, passion and desire to make a vibrant and multifaceted work of art.
Cannibal Society is available today on all streaming platforms, and features ODDKO’s signature sound: alternative metal with industrial influences, and a dark apocalyptic tone. All tracks feature Fleshgod Apocalypse’s Francesco Paoli on drums.
Void N’ Disorder, the production company led by Bucci and Art Director Paola Rocchetti, is behind the creation of ODDKO’s videos for “Disobey” and “D4TM.” Bucci has also made videos for Korn, Jane’s Addiction, and Fleshgod Apocalypse, impressing audiences and critics around the world. His music videos have won many awards, including ODDKO’s debut single, “Disobey”, which won Best Metal and Horror Video at the LA Music Video Awards, as well as both Silver and Bronze Telly awards.
Here’s what people have been saying about ODDKO:
“Outrageous maelstrom of sights and sounds, paced and cut so expertly, ‘Disobey’ is both intoxicating and satisfying at the same time. The energy of the integrated components is fantastic. And the music itself, while not for everyone, is much to my liking.” - Dan Sarto/AWN (Animation World Network)
“Disobey is, legitimately, fantastic. I really dig the tunes and vibe.” - Joshua Millican/Dread Central
“Amazing!! That shit is dark ‘n’ scary, I love it! - James 'Munky' Shaffer/Korn
“This guy is one of the most talented individuals I've ever met in the music business. I had the pleasure and privilege to track drums for his first album containing some of the best music in the genre.” - Francesco Paoli/Fleshgod Apocalypse
“Sick track and video \m/” - Zardonic
“In command of both sound and vision, Bucci has seamlessly integrated them both…” - David Knight/Promonews
