Crashdiets return to Italy for a single date!
The band will perform on April 25th at the Legend Club Milano, to open the evening Italian glam band Nastyville.
The Crashdiet, among the cult bands of the sleaze metal scene, bring to life the golden years of the 80s glam, with a more pronounced punk component, cruder sounds and a style that can be described as bolder. The band was formed in 2000 taking inspiration from icons such as Skid Row, Guns'n'Roses, Kiss and W.A.S.P. with the intent to bring back the energy and the beauty of rock'n'roll "unpredictable and dangerous". The Crashdiet have gained over the years a group of loyal and faithful fans despite the changes in formation that have seen the alternation of four different frontman, including the recent new entry Gabriel Keyes.
The breakthrough of the band is dated 2004, when they sign with Universal, becoming the first band sleaze to sign with a major in more than ten years. The following year he released his debut album 'Rest In Sleaze' with which they published the singles' Riot in Everyone ',' Breaking the Chainz ',' Knokk 'Em Down' and 'It's a Miracle'. The following years are marked by the tragic loss of the singer Dave Lepard with consequent pause in the project. Despite the difficult moments the Crashdiet decide to continue their journey: the following year they join the singer H. Olliver Twisted with whom they publish the second album 'The Unattractive Revolution' but the collaboration does not last long and in 2008 Olliver leaves the band. Then follows the publication of 'Generation Wild' which sums up the moments and the difficult history of the group; with this album the Crashdiet bring home some great satisfactions including two sold out shows, in the historic Whiskey A Go Go in Hollywood and Webster Hall in New York, and the opening shows for real legends, Ozzy Osbourne and Motley Crue. The latest album released 'The Savage Playground' comes out in 2013, reaches the second place in the Swedish mainstream charts and is also nominated for a Grammy in Sweden. 2015 sees a new change of training, the end of the collaboration of the singer Simon Cruz; in 2017 the band defines the definitive and current lineup: Gabriel Keyes guide and voice of the group, Martin Sweet on guitar, Peter London on bass and Eric Young on drums. The strength of the band lies in their incredible desire to play and bring their own rock message to as many people as possible; the Crashdiet do not mention in fact stop and for the joy of their loyal fans, have released a very powerful new single 'We Are The Legion', a new album may be on the horizon ... in the meantime, we will have the opportunity to listen to them live for a unique unmissable appointment!
The Nastyville born from the idea of Danny Boy, former drummer of Thee STP, who after sharing stages musicians of the rank of John Corabi and Gilby Clarke decides to start the project with some musicians and friends of the area, David (formerly The Megs), Manuel, Lex (Lupus in Fabula) and Kruska (Lupus in Fabula). The five start by carrying around hard rock and Glam covers until 2015, the year in which they recorded the debut album 'Viva Hell-A' which gets an excellent response from the audience of the scene; later the band sees some training changes and enters the rooster of the VolcanoRecords & Promotion label which deals with distributing the second album 'Glam Caramel' worldwide. Thanks to some singles like 'Lady Boy', 'Macho Girl' and 'Big Band Theory' the band manages to stand out and open concerts of artists like Crazy Lixx, Dynamite, Venrez, Enuff'znuff, Shameless and Tuff. To date the Nastyville are Mark Evil Lee (vocals), David Wildchild (guitar), Manu-Hell (guitar), Paul Cannibal (bass) and Danny Boy (drums).
